FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE:
Hotspur's debut full-length album, BETA, has been taking over the
soundtrack to MTV's curb kicking dating show, "NEXT." Over half the
tracks on BETA, including "Young and Reckless," "Her Majesty," "Skydive,"
"Have You Seen This Girl" and "Get Me Outta Here" have been featured as
background music introducing contestants, bus montages,
and intro and outro music.
Upon hearing the DC natives on major network television, Hotspur fans have
said "It was mind blowing," while virgin ears embarked on Google search
missions to identify the band via song lyrics.
Looks like Hotspur fever is catching everyone in its path.
AbsolutePunk.net predicts, "Featuring swooping choruses ("Shes Got To
Go"), chugging pleas ("Have You Seen This Girl") and the obligatory arena
rock sound ("5th of July"), Beta has the major label sound and will soon
be money in the bank."
Kings of A&R call Hotspur "one of the top 4 unsigned bands at this year's
SXSW," saying "Beta comes across as a collection of hits as opposed to a
typical album, each track a radio-ready dance rock single."
Altsounds.com says "Beta is the debut full-length from DC's Hotspur.
Although self-released, there are more hits on this record than a NOW
compilation. High energy pop rock, complete with handclaps and woah ohs,
tied together with dancey bass lines and keys throughout make each song on
the album and exciting as the song before and force your
ass to shake uncontrollably."
