Here’s a run down of the movers and shakers you’re gonna want to cover. Contact me at 973-338-0560 or Joelle@audiocrushpr.com for CDs, press passes and interview opportunities. Ready, set, mark your calendars!! PREVIEW: 4/12: The Parlor Mob, The Annex, NYC 4/18: Val Emmich, Mercury Lounge, NYC
4/22:
Perfuma, Bamboozle Battle of the Bands Round 2, Mexicali Blues, NJ 4/26: Readymade Breakup, Stone Pony, NJ 4/27: Hero Pattern, Maxwells, NJ VAL EMMICH: Val is playing the Mercury Lounge in NYC on April 18 (www.myspace.com/valemmich). Last time he sold out, so if you weren’t able to get in, make sure to get there early! Val’s videos for “This Ship’s Going Down” and “The Only One Lonely” have been following the same success the songs have on radio. The videos have been added to major outlets including MTV.com, Much Music, Yahoo Music, Billboard.com and Blender.com. The documentary for “It’s Only Your Life: The Making of Sunlight Searchparty,” has been added to Comcast On Demand under Concert TV. Be sure to tune in. Val also recently taped an interview for MTV RADIO’S YOU HEAR IT FIRST program, which is airing on 50 modern rock stations across the country along with the first single “This Ship’s Going Down.” PERFUMA: Perfuma won Round 1 of the Bamboozle Battle of The Bands. The second and final round will be held at the Mexicali Blues Café in Teneck, New Jersey on April 22. The band is featured in a commercial promoting the contest over at Bamboozle TV, but you can also view it at www.myspace.com/perfuma. There’s also a new line-up to be excited about. Tucker from The Pennyroyals has joined as Perfuma’s bass player and Dave Leto from Rye Coalition (who Foo Fighter Dave Grohl signed and calls the best drummer in the world) is now behind the kit. I have four brand new demos just for the media to get an advance listen, so be sure to ask me for them! Absolute Punk.net is already buzzing upon first listen. JASON REEVES: Ok, so technically Iowa born and bread Jason Reeves is not from New Jersey, but he’s still one of the best up-and-coming artists to watch and he’s performing in NYC on April 25 at The Living Room. You may know his name, as he co-writes for Colbie Caillat, who has reined the Number One Unsigned Artist slot on MySpace for months. Jason has already received over 15,000 plays with his own songs on www.myspace.com/jasonreeves. Fans are going crazy for Jason and now it’s time for you guys to start the media frenzy! FYI—Jason was discovered by Major Label Scout, a new A&R venture launched by Ken Krongard (a NJ native who is credited with signing Avril Lavigne) that presents their findings to the RCA Music Group, including J and Arista Records. THE FINALS: Immortal Record’s artists, The Finals, are embarking on a spring tour that will introduce new frontman, Andrew Seagle, to the masses. The former Spin.com Band of The Day is currently writing new material for their follow-up to the Heath Saraceno (Midtown) produced and John Naclerio (Brand New, My Chemical Romance, Senses Fail) engineered “Plan You Getaway.” www.myspace.com/thefinalsband READYMADE BREAKUP: WDHA, 105.5 recently played Readymade on their "Homegrown Spotlight" show. Keep an eye out for them in The Asbury Park Press. The Signal Newspaper says RMUP’s album, “Isn't That What It's For,” “stands out as an excellent example of the balance between rock character and pop refinement.” www.myspace.com/readymadebreakup HERO PATTERN: All April long, Hero Pattern will be rockin’ stages from Florida through Missouri and Ohio until they hit home (aka Maxwells) on April 27. Hot off SXSW, these recent Pure Volume chart toppers (pulling in over 3,000 plays a day) are converting fans each city they take by storm. Don’t be left out. www.myspace.com/heropattern THE PARLOR MOB: This buzz band has been showcasing for labels again. While we wait to see what major label will earn their respect, we’ll be able to get a glimpse of their new music video. It was shot out in Texas during SXSW. View the “Tide of Tears” rehearsal video by Roe Jennings at www.myspace.com/theparlormob. Stay in tune with everyone via www.audiocrushpr.com and add us as your friend on MySpace to get news as soon as it hits! Cheers, Joelle and Jessica
