Perfuma Win The Break
Contest And A Slot On Bamboozle

As predicted by The Aquarian Weekly, Perfuma is among the elite few unsigned
bands chosen to play this year’s Bamboozle festival, thanks to The Break
Contest. Though around 250 acts took part in the Rockland Music Center
sponsored completion, only a few survived numerous rounds of shows and
scored serious points with the judges.
The panel of critics, which included members of Max Cruise Entertainment,
based their scores on talent (30 %), performance (30 %), audience response
(20 %) and votes by ballot (20%).
Perfuma will be bringing its raw rock to Bamboozle on Sunday, May 6 at 7:45
pm on the Pass the Mic stage. Don’t miss it!
Also check out “It’s Only Art,” off Perfuma’s Black Lung Sessions EP, on the
upcoming first ever Break Compilation CD.
This is only just the beginning of excitement for the Little Falls, New
Jersey natives. The new line-up brings ex-Pennyroyal Tucker on bass (you’ve
seen him in just about every Hartke/Sam Ash ad around) and Rye Coalition’s
Dave Leto (Dave Grohl called him the best drummer in the world) behind the
kit. Adam Bird (vocals/guitar) and Eric Schnare (guitar) have already
garnered a strong buzz by performing dirty rock tunes packed with power pop
hooks, that led Absolute Punk.net to say “This is without a doubt a band to
keep on the radar ‘cause I call it now…GOING PLACES.”
Perfuma are currently in the studio working on a new album. For an advance
listen to the new tunes or to set up an interview at Bamboozle, contact

Fun Facts:
• Humans Are Dangerous, Perfuma’s debut, boasts cameo performances by
members of Hidden In Plainview, The Early November, Socratic, and Madison,
and sold out within one week at Hot Topic locations in New Jersey and New
York.
• The Internet pre-sale for Humans Are Dangerous spent the month of December
'04 in the top 50 on SmartPunk.com, and Perfuma consistently move over 100
copies a month at live shows.
• Perfuma were also one of the select unsigned bands to play Bamboozle 2005
in Asbury Park, New Jersey along with national acts like Further Seems
Forever and Fallout Boy.
• Armor For Sleep's Ben Jorgenson is among the guest vocalists on the Black
Lung Sessions track “Bellville," which Perfuma debuted on MYspace in March
'06.
